Take a little 10 year old girl (Lisa Spada), an autodidact singer, who savours Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Sam Cook or Mavies Stapples. Stick her into several training workshops in Paris that cover everything from Gospel to Soul and Jazz. Meet her up in 2003 with a double bass player (Gael Maffre) who forged himself to the sound of Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie and Stan Getz. Stir, sprinkle with piano (Christophe Mondot) – trumpet (Vincent Echard) some vocals (Nelly Stanislas and Camille Richard) and leave to stew. This dish is called Third Shot and should be served in the third dimension of electro jazz.

Beatmaker parisien de 26 ans, Onra est un producteur prolifique avec déjà trois albums au compteur en un peu plus d’un an. Le premier, « Tribute », en compagnie de Quetzal, est un album hip-hop instrumental hommage à la Soul Music. Rencontrant un vif succès auprès du public, ce projet lui a permis de gagner le respect de ses paires. Peu de temps après, un autre album en collaboration avec Byron The Aquarius, un jeune pianiste américain, sous le nom de « The Big Payback ». Ne s’étant jamais rencontrés, l’album s’est fait par Internet, cette fois-ci, dans une direction plutot Nu-Soul / electro avant-gardiste. Enfin, Onra a sorti fin 2007 son premier album solo intitulé « Chinoiseries », un album fait uniquement avec des samples de vinyles asiatiques ramenés de son premier séjour au Viet Nam, le pays de ses origines. C’est un album très personnel, au concept original, un mélange improbable de cultures, qui sonne telle une bande originale de film «Asianploitation».

This 26 years old Beatmaker from Paris is a prolific producer with three albums in the shops already after not much more than a year. His first album, "Tribute" – released together with Quetzal – is an instrumental hip hop hommage to Soul music. It was not only a big success with the audience but also gained him the respect of his confreres peers.  The album "The Big Payback" was released not long afterwards – a collaboration with Byron The Aquarius, a young American piano player. The two never actually met, the whole album was created over the internet in a Nu-Soul / avant-garde electro style. Finally, in 2007, Onra released his first solo album "Chinoiseries" consisting of 100% Asian vinyl samples he brought from his first stay in Vietnam, his birthplace. A very personal album with an original concept and an uncommon mixture of cultures that easily passes as soundtrack for a film called "Asianploitation".
